The last week has been rather uninspiring, and I've spared you some boring blog posts.
Until tonight.
Since I can't think of anything better to write about, I decided to make a Christmas Countdown of sorts.
There's 15 days until Christmas.
So here's 15 non-gift//craft//busy related tasks to accomplish. And hopefully prepare me for Christmas, just not in the overwhelming//commercial//self-absorbing way society tells me.
- Read the Christmas story from the Gospels.
- Take pictures of what's important to me.
- Drive around with junior and hubster to look at lights.
- Spend an entire day TV-free.
- Read the Christmas story to junior from his Bible.
- Turn off the lights and light candles.
- Hold my tongue. A.k.a mission impossible.
- Start the day by making a 'thankful' list.
- Put on Christmas records.
- Go Christmas caroling {I'm cheating; already scheduled for Wednesday}.
- Family photo-ish session. At home. Just us. In our element.
- Do something for a friend.
- Pray for those who anger me.
- Read a book {a non-toddler edition}.
- Give a compliment when I feel myself ready to criticize.
In random order.
Updates coming...
I think this is an awesome idea. Can't wait to see your posts. :)
