Really?
I am humbled and somewhat shocked that 101 people are willing to follow my blog. I realize that to many of you, 101 followers is nothing. But when I started this blog, I never thought I would have this many followers without having to do paid sponsorships out the wazoo. So thanks friends for proving that you do not have to invest hundreds//thousands//too-many dollars in a blog for it to grow.
Moving on to more important topics...
Apparently if you are ugly, that is a valid excuse for your husband to drink. And your marraige to fail.
Really?
If you are anything like me, you may find yourself attacking your computer screen.
As a Christian and a woman, I would like to express a few thoughts for ol' Pat here.
- Your wife is one lucky lady who clearly does not have the same vanity issues that you do.
- Perhaps you need a long look in the mirror.
- The pastor you referenced needs to go back to seminary.
- You are very lucky that the lady sitting across from you is not ripping you apart.
- Jesus loves me, and luckily for you, everyone regardless of appearances. So perhaps you'd like to pass that memo along to your pastor friend and the alcoholic.
Yesterday, I went to the mall to scrapbook with some friends. On the way home, at 10:30 P.M., we discovered neither headlight worked, except with brights on.
Really?
I was that jerk, driving through cities and towns with brights on the entire time. I managed to get 'brighted' approximately 43 times, spooked a horse that almost caused an accident, and almost hit a dog that decided to follow the bright lights. Fantastic hour and a half of my time.

Junior started misbehaving on purpose and then volunteering to go sit in the chair while smiling for his entire time-out.
Really?
Please tell me how many times I have to be outsmarted by a toddler. Don't get me wrong... I am thankful for his intelligence, but come on!
And in other news...
I heard a story on the radio this week about someone who found 13,000 buckaroos somewhere either near an airport or on the side of a road {I have a terrible memory}. This person turned in the money and got a $60 dollar reward. Countless people called in and commented on how they would have followed the 'finders-keepers' rule and that the owner of the money is a terrible person for only rewarding 60 bucks.
Really?
This, my creepy little monkeys, is a prime example of why we struggle as a nation. The fact that there are that many people out there who would take that money, guilt-free, is appalling//frustrating//scream-inducing. Also, last time I checked, we attempt to teach our children to do the right thing because of the way it makes you feel inside, not for a reward.
Wow, this is becoming a long, ranting post.
Be sure to check out my featured blogger this month. The adorable Abbey blogs over at the Makings of a Mess. She's cute, fun, a fellow teacher, and does a much better job of keeping up with blog posts than me. I'll be running her feature post sometime this week so be sure to check back!
And, one of you creepy little monkeys will soon be able to enter my featured blogger contest for February!
YAYYYY FOR 101 FOLLOWERS! And I also saw/heard/read about that whole Pat fiasco. I could NOT believe he said that... and he's been married for FOREVER too (which I didn't know!)
ReplyDeleteYay congrats on 101 followers, it's because you are awesome! :)
